August 20, 2016 - Cinematographer Trenten Cameron returned to shoot the band's third consecutive music video production. Lead singer/songwriter Gordy Garris performs the song "Stole My Heart" on piano, accompanied by Cody Collins on the acoustic guitar and a special performance by Maiya Kaufmann on the violin.
The band's brand new single will debut everywhere on September 13, 2016. The music video will debut on the band's YouTube channel and the song will be available for streaming on Spotify, Soundcloud, Bandcamp and available for purchase on iTunes, Amazon and Google

The band's summer tour featured 9 shows around mid-Michigan and a special acoustic performance in Duluth, Minnesota! The band was able to distribute their albums with the Minnesota Record Store chain, Electric Fetus.
The summer tour wrapped up with the band playing live to hundreds of students at a freshman rally for Delta College on August 18th and again acoustically on August 27th for the Excellency Music Festival!
Gordy Garris Group is back at it yet again; in the studio for the summer of 2016 working on their third studio album in as many years! They have already recorded two singles with Whitehead Recording that will be released very soon with subsequent music videos to follow on the band's YouTube channel. The band plans to be wrapping up their newest album release with Reed Recording Company in late 2016, early 2017. Lead singer/songwriter Gordy Garris talks about the band's new album and upcoming 2016 summer tour in a recent interview with Bandwidth Daily Magazine.

May 17, 2016, Gordy Garris Group released it's first ever non-album single onto iTunes and Spotify. The track is the first of many new releases to come from the band in 2016.

With the help of a loop station, playing as a two-piece band, Garris and Jackson were able to rock the night and won show #9 at BeMo's in Bay City, MI. This victory guaranteed the pair a chance to compete in the 2016 ISMA Finals.
December 3, 2015 - Lead guitarist Mario Turner rejoined the group for the last of the band's tour in 2015, playing live here with Garris and TruthJones.

With the band's "Hater tour" completed, they began their next tour and newest album! Feature singles off the new album were announced for the album on the home page of this website, with the date of release set for Sept. 25, 2015.
July 2, 2015 - Production for the new album began with Reed Recording Company in Bay City, MI. Tour dates for the band's newest tour, "The Streets" were announced and can be found on the Tour page of this website.
May 18, 2014, the band officially released their first single off of the album, entitled "Night Fall." It was also at this time when the name of the album was released; The Pulse.

August 31, 2014 - Over a year since the band's debut performance together in August, 2013, the group proudly releases it's first studio album with 11 tracks. Lead singer/songwriter Gordy Garris had put in copious amounts of time working with Whitehead Recording audio engineer and producer Bobby G., to put together the debut studio album. The three feature singles off of the debut studio album include "Hater," "Dreams" and "Back To Me." Subsequent music videos were to follow on the band's YouTube channel advertising the releases and promoting the new album's official release onto the iTunes Store.
Known for the lyrical intrigue and catchy chorus lines that will stick in your head, the debut album brought several dynamic guitar solos to the table as well. Despite being an unsigned band from Saginaw, MI, the possibilities seem endless for this group of 20-year olds.

Following their first performance together at the 2013 Saginaw Wonderfest, the group devoted much of it's time in 2013 and early 2014 to the studio for the release of their upcoming debut album.
April 10, 2014 - The band got back together and had it's first show since Wonderfest, at White's Bar in Saginaw. Garris and Kasper played with special guests, Dr. Tim Hendrickson of Midland, MI on piano and Mike Jarema of East Lansing, MI on the drums.

In early August of 2013, Gordy Garris and Cameron Kasper formerly of the band Under Fire, got back together to continue their project and renamed it the Gordy Garris Group. At this point, the duo began working with drummer Rob Rigg in preparation for their show together at the Saginaw Wonderfest.
Gordy Garris Group made its debut on the live stage together at the Saginaw Wonderfest (Free Benefit Concert), on Saturday, August 24th, 2013. At 4:30 p.m. the band took the stage performing underneath the shade of the brand new First Merit Pavilion; located across the street from the Dow Event Center in Downtown Saginaw, Michigan. The setlist for the group included one cover song and three original songs to be featured in future album releases.
